Expressive Arts Therapy
Expressive Arts Therapy is an intermodal approach to healing using the various forms of art, such as visual arts, music, sound, movement, storytelling, and writing. You don't need any experience with art and each session is unique to meet your needs. In this safe space, you can relax, explore your creativity, and connect with your intuition. As you play and experiment with different art forms (such as poetry, pastels, clay, and movement), you will gain insights and find strengths and resources along the way. Expressive Arts Therapy is not about a final product but about creative exploration and discovering new possibilities.
Regardless of your age or ability or skill level, Expressive Arts Therapy will help you deal with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and other life challenges. Other benefits include increased inspiration, self-confidence, aliveness, and sense of well-being. I have completed training in Expressive Arts Therapy and am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (#2448) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).
